Core Mechanics

  • Players create their own interstellar nation by coming up with a concept first and foremost. After that, they are given an Origin Questionnaire that is multiple choice. Those choices influence starting stats, fleets, and other variables. Lastly, players are handed their Nation Sheet and are asked to assign Development Points to have their own influence over their start. After players apply their development points, the results of their questionnaire are then applied to modify the start.
  • Players are given 20 Development Points that they can spend to alter their stats or purchase special assets that influence the game.
  • Players are dropped randomly on a galaxy map and given a brief tutorial to learn the finer mechanics of the game.
  • The game progresses through turns, which are measured as in game weeks. A turn is broken down into 5 phases: Upkeep, Events, Orders, Movement & Combat, and Aftermath.
  • Players are given 2 Major Actions and 3 Minor Actions per week.
  • Dice rolls have degrees of success.
